She has accumulated over 460 thousand followers on tiktok alone, through her powerful videos around her music, sense of self, and women empowerment. With her background being in classical music and soul, she found her sound by blending genres together. She grew up in a house where her mother played singer/songwriter music like Carol King, and Stevie Nicks, and her father more soulful sounds like Peabo Bryson, and Earth Wind and Fire. After rejecting a full scholarship for classical voice, she was determined to find a voice. to call her own. Working with various producers, artists and musicians made her realize that her own voice is much more than just one specific style. She grounds herself in the New York culture and underground sounds, using local musicians, and artists to collaborate on her music and perform at her shows. She has described her creative process as turning pain into poetry and poetry into lyrics.
